Benjamin Bergers for the NGO Photographers Alliance

Benjamin Bergers

Antwerp, Belgium

Benjamin is a product manager, photographer and writer. He has travelled with his camera to more than 50 countries, where his work in street and documentary photography has led to a greater understanding in the power of social responsibility.

Over the years, Benjamin has actively supported various artists and international NGOs, both within and beyond the domain of photography. These experiences range from working closely with a refugee organization in Greece to supporting Red Cross crisis relief efforts in Belgium. Notably, he has also collaborated with micro-financing NGO Fundacion Envia in Oaxaca, Mexico, where he documented the inspiring stories of individuals striving for economic empowerment within their communities.

Fueled by an inherent curiosity for the world around him, Benjamin loves to create impressions of the (un)remarkable, in order to encapsulate the essence of a place and the people that inhabit it. He aims to further empower NGOs through visual storytelling to shed light on existing issues faced by voiceless communities around the world, and to showcase the remarkable initiatives undertaken to address them.
