Asif Ahmed is a documentary photographer from Bangladesh whose major focus is on the environment, particularly on issues concerning pollution, waste management, recycling, climate change and ensuring sustainable consumption & production patterns. In 2014, he founded Everyday Pollution, a longterm project that raises awareness to the effects of pollution on the environment and on our daily lives, and since then has committed himself to working towards the targets as outlined by the UN Sustainable Development Goals. In addition to his environmental interests, Asif also focuses his work on social issues, human rights and disaster/crises.
His work has previously been published in National Geographic Education, Social Documentary Network, TheReport.live, New Age, FOTOJAJS, Prothom Alo, etc.
Charitable organisations that he has previously worked with include Muslim Aid, Global Unnayan Seba Sangstha (GUSS), ASA International, whilst his work during the Rohingya refugee crisis helped to raise funds to provide accommodation, water and health services for those in need.
